What Makes a Great Association Manager? Can You Help Us Hire One?

We are here to serve, and our best managers live and breathe service and positivity.

CMA selectively recruits top tier management talent in our industry, as well as other industries. In the past we’ve successfully drawn from other related industries, such as hospitality or club management and public administration and other professional roles that require some similar skills, such as teachers, trainers and executive directors of non-for-profit associations. In conducting searches for candidates, it has become clear that the DFW job market is rebounding and very competitive.

CMA strives to handpick the best candidates to serve our clients. Building a team of strong professionals is our proven strategy to serve communities well and help employees build rewarding careers. That’s where you can help us. We are inviting board members to refer great candidates for these challenging key manager positions.

In our years of business, we’ve learned that in addition to possessing a specific skill set, having a positive attitude and a servant’s heart is key to success in our industry. We are here to serve and our best managers live and breathe service and positivity.

Any successful candidate should be able to demonstrate the following competencies: Communication, Financial & business acumen, Organization, Vendor and project management, Customer Service, Problem-solving, and a Results Orientation.

We generally look for a candidate with a Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university. Our ideal candidate would have industry experience and the CMCA designation, but neither is absolutely required. We have successfully transitioned professionals from other industries who possess strong skill sets in the needed areas and a positive attitude.

Do you know someone who is a great candidate and excited about serving community associations? Please tell them about us, our great culture, excellence in the industry and competitive salary and benefits for professionals.

Then, send your name and contact information to kontiveros@cmamanagement.com. Our HR Manager will contact you to learn more about the candidate.
